July 2016, the global Embedded computing leader Advantech Technology is proud to announce the launch of New RSB-4221. This is a RISC 3.5 "single board PC with TI Sitara AM3358 cortex-a8 1GHz High performance processor. The RSB-4221 is a stable, robust, low-power platform designed for applications that require rich I/O interfaces, excellent network connectivity, and high-performance graphical interfaces.

The RSB-4221 is powered by a TI AM3358 Cortex A8 processor that supports 512MB DDR3 memory, 4GB onboard Flash ROM, and a single channel LVDS interface with resolutions up to 1366 x 768. To meet all requirements of industrial applications, this product supports dual Gigabit high performance Ethernet ports and provides a m.2 E-key socket for installing wifi/Bluetooth cards, plus 5 UART ports for rs-232/422/485 support, 12 GPIO interfaces, 1 can bus 2.0B interface, 4 USB 2.0 main interface, 1 SD card slots and one I²c 5V interface. RSB-4221 's high level of configuration fully confirms that this is not only an ideal hardware solution for the industrial market, but also has the flexibility to be able to handle more diverse application requirements such as automation control, HMI, industrial controllers and IoT device-related applications.

The RSB-4221 has a very low power dissipation in addition to high performance and rich I/O interfaces. Under normal operating conditions, the power consumption is only 2 W. With a voltage input of up to V and a reliable power supply circuit design, users can confidently develop the most stable, reliable and durable industrial applications.

Software Support Services
RSB-4221 supports Linux kernel V3.2.0 and Android 4.2, and bundles to evaluate Android images, and its complete board support package (BSP) helps users develop their own applications and provides sample source code and tools for customer testing and evaluation.

RSB-4221 supports the most versatile QT version 4.8 cross-platform application and UI framework to help users develop applications through the GUI interface. In addition, we provide professional service teams and complete documentation and reference guides to enable RSB-4221 not only to easily meet emerging application development requirements, but also to integrate into existing software applications with the support of Advantech's hardware platform.
