Depending on the release notes of the OS X 10.9 Mavericks developer preview, Mac computers that support the current OS X 10.8 mountain lion can support OS X Mavericks. On yesterday's WWDC, Apple did not show which Macs could run the next generation OS X system. Mac computers that specifically support OS X Mavericks include:
IMAC (Models in mid or later 2007)
MacBook (aluminum model in late 2008, early 2009 or later)
Macbookpro (Models in mid/late 2007 or later)
MacBook Air (Models for late 2008 or later)
MAC Mini (pre-2009 or later models)
Mac Pro (Models for early 2008 or later)
Xserve (early 2009)
In addition, OS X Mavericks requires a 64-bit Intel processor Mac to run a Mac OS x 10.6.7 Snow Leopard or an updated system to upgrade and install 8GB of free hard disk space. In fact, the minimum upgrade system required by mountain Lion is OS X 10.6.8, which is higher than mavericks? The current OS X Mavericks Beta has been opened for developers to download, and the official version will be released this fall.
