I have always heard that Symantec's anti-virus feature is difficult to uninstall, but I have never encountered it once. So I always thought this was just a problem with my uninstall method, not a software issue, recently, it really happened to me. In the past five days, I did not find a reason. It hurt my self-esteem. Now the problem has finally been solved, although there is not much technical content, I hope to help others.
I have been using Norton for many years, because it is peaceful and has no chance to show its existence. I work quietly and only show it as a shield in the lower right corner, for frequent debugging in software development, only monitoring is required, and there is no other response. It has become a plug-in my machine. It was just a recent outbreak of viruses. When I used a USB flash drive on other computers, I was prompted to have a virus, but I didn't have a prompt on Norton or scan for it. So I was advised to find a K6, install it. The problem occurs:
1. Uninstall Norton. A message is displayed, indicating that the system is faulty and cannot be uninstalled;
2. Because my computer only has Norton, I need to delete all Symantec folders and related files and clean up the registry, after you delete a file that can be deleted, restart the system. Related Services cannot be started due to a lack of files and will be deleted again;
3. When installing K6, the system prompts that the norton antivirus premiate edition is found. It cannot be installed and must be uninstalled;
4. Use a file to search for Norton and Symantec, delete all items, and clear all items including Norton and Symantec in the registry;
5. Install K6. the problem persists;
After trying Norton_Removal_Tool of Norton and master optimization to clean up the registry, the solution was not solved. When Norton was re-installed, Norton could not be installed. It became a step-by-step and it had to be crawled. Finding relevant information on the Internet has not solved the problem.
Today I decided to try again, find a Super Rabbit, In the unload items, found a path for Norton unload items, but the name has become a value similar to the D6C64C68-F9F5-11D3-BEEA-00A0CC272509, click unload, because the file has been deleted and cannot be executed, it must be stored in the registry. Open the Registry again, search for this name, delete the searched data, restart the system, and install K6 again. The problem is solved.
When asking for advice, I heard the most about redo systems. However, it is time-consuming and labor-consuming for systems with too many tools to be installed. It is so easy to do without thinking about solutions. The answer is: a lot of complicated things are actually quite simple!
