Analysis of mixed case of Fireworks MX layer

Layer is the most basic concept of graphics processing, but the author found that many friends of fireworks MX layer blending mode does not seem to know very well, in fact, if you use a layer of mixing, a lot of complex results are readily available. Don't believe it? So let's look down together.

　　 Step 1:
Open Fireworks MX and use the menu command file-open command to open a bitmap (Figure 1).



　　 Step 2:
Click the new BMP images icon on the right layers panel of the work area (Figure 2), (if the layers panel is not found, you can create a new layer using the menu command windows-or using the fast bound key F2).


Step 3:
Select Paint Bucket Tool on the toolbar and set the fill color to dark green (Figure 3). Fills the newly created layer.


　　 Step 4:
Select the new layer on the Layers panel, click the Blending mode Drop-down box, and select the blending mode as multiply (Figure 4), and the resulting effect is shown in the figure (Figure 5).

The meaning of the multiply blending mode is to mix the selected layer with the color of the layer below it, rendering it more dim, and if the selected layer is black, the blend is black and the selected layer is white, without any effect.

　　Step 5:
Click on the Blending Mode drop-down box and select the blending mode to screen for the effect shown in the figure (Figure 6).

The meaning of the screen blending mode is to mix the selected layer with the color of the layer below it, making it brighter, and if the selected layer is white, the blend is white and the selected layer is black, without any effect.

　　Step 6:
Click on the Blending Mode Drop-down box to select the blending mode as darken, and the resulting effect is shown in the figure (Figure 7).

The meaning of the darken blending mode is that the selected layer is compared to the color below it, and the bright part uses the image of the underlying layer, and the darker part mixes the two layers to show a darker effect.

　　Step 7:
Click on the Blending Mode Drop-down box to select the blending mode as lighten, and the resulting effect is shown in the figure (Figure 8).

The meaning of the lighten blending mode is that the selected layer is compared to the color below it, and the darker part uses the image of the underlying layer, and the bright part mixes two layers to show a brighter effect.

　　Step 8:
Click on the Blending Mode Drop-down box to select the blending mode as difference, and the resulting effect is shown in the figure (Figure 9).

The meaning of difference blending mode is to mix the shading of the underlying layer using the color of the selected layer.

Through the above examples, we should have a certain understanding of fireworks MX layer blending mode, in fact, as long as we flexibly apply these functions, we can easily produce a lot of professional complex effects.
