The previous journal talked about the new discuz! X's questioning. Lenovo to Dai Zhikang in the discuz! X product design Share "said that paragraph
SNS Portal BBS These three in China began in the 2009, 1999 and 1997 applications, from the age is not the same, the accumulation of both right and wrong user habits are different, talk about integration, not easy! The results of stiff integration, like the living room paved with the 70 's terrazzo floor, with a 21st century luxury double door refrigerator, plus a set of Italian dining table, the table also put two of the fried dough stick so strange. It's not that something is bad, and why is it that it becomes neither fish nor fowl?
Let me turn to the new understanding of the community during this time.
Portal is the product of the original pioneering period of the Internet. It simply put people need to surf the internet, a brain full of things on the internet. What to do with too much content? Never mind, table layout, each subject a piece of tofu.
After the popularity of the Internet, people found that only using the Internet to send some news is really overqualified. Everyone has the need to speak and talk to others, so the forum appears. The forum lets everyone in the network have the right to speak.
Two years later, it was found that the forum, though very free, was suitable for discussion, but was not suitable for recording and displaying. Individual articles, if viewed from the forum in confusion. So there is a more personal application than the news portal, blog. Blogs better address the need for people to show themselves. Everyone can publish a seemingly formal article on a website like a contributor.
After a few years of savage growth in blogs, forums and news portals, people have found that information on the internet has been heavily overloaded, far beyond their ability to read. A person may focus on forums, portals, blogs, and it would be extremely painful to look through each day to see if there are new content. So there is the need for aggregation.
The first thing that comes up is a technology solution: RSS. In fact, RSS technology is really a wonderful idea. Unfortunately, it is not popular enough, it is not easy to understand, and has not been widely popularized. Ordinary netizens need a simple and direct aggregation scheme.
SNS is born in this environment, on the one hand, it takes the interpersonal relationship as the core, put the offline true friendship digital to the network, on the other hand, it solves the problem that the information on the internet is too dispersed, and the demand of customizing the reading content according to own interest.
From the point of view of information itself, the traditional Internet, where the content is published, people need to see where to look, and in the web2.0 era, publish content and read content can be completely separated. Like Twitter, I can tweet on my web page, on my cell phone, on IM, while others are aggregating their tweets on their homepage.
In fact, in the current era of information explosion, the most scarce resource is attention. The value of a piece of information is often not in itself, but in how many people see it.
I maintain a forum, when I just took over the time found that all people are only in one layout, although I follow the content classification, the forum divided into a number of sections, but the user still insists on all the information sent to the main version. I went to the page where it should be, and the user had a great opinion, as if I had deleted their posts. In fact, the logic is very simple, to move the post to a place where no one is looking, this post is the same as does not exist.
Forum, is still categorized by the nature of the content of the discussion. People must follow the content classification. And the community of web2.0 era (not only SNS), is lets the content follow the person to walk. Wherever the content is stored in a corner, it can be delivered to all those who may be interested in the content. I used to go around searching for information every day, and now I just have to customize it once and wait for the information to come to me every day.
Why are users in SNS community more active than users in forums and blogs? Because there is more attention, users understand that the content released in the SNS community can be seen by more people directly, and these people are really interested in the people.
This is not to say that the era of news portals, forums, blogs are outdated. In fact, they still play their role well. Because, portals, forums, blogs are the best way to carry information, I believe they will always exist.
Web2.0 really change is the way of reading, SNS and portals, forums, blogs do not conflict. On the contrary, they are mutually reinforcing relationships. If no Portal Forum blog provides an ideal content publishing platform, SNS has no content to read. If there is no SNS to bring attention to the Portal Forum blog, then they have no influence.
SNS and Portal Forum blog, should be one side of the department reading, side of the post. But Kangsheng to launch today's discuz! X Fusion system, but mistakenly put SNS and portal forum, placed in the position of juxtaposition. This mindless, blunt integration completely deviates from the user's behavior pattern.
On the other hand, the domestic SNS website has been trying to provide the forum, the blog solution directly within its own website, but I think this kind of closed practice can not really play the role of content aggregation.
The good news is that Facebook is aware of this, and they want to link the entire Internet's content, relationships, and personal Facebook accounts. I believe that it must be the future of SNS.
