Android database design considerations

When designing your database, we recommend that you consider the following:

 

Audio files (such as bitmap or audio files) are generally not stored in database tables. Generally, a string is used to store the file path, preferably a correct content provider Uri.

 

When there is no strict requirement, it is strongly recommended that all tables contain an automatically added keyword segment, which can be used as a unique index value for each row. It is worth noting that when you plan to use content provider to share your table, the unique ID field is required.
