This option allows the Mac to overwrite deleted files, which greatly reduces the likelihood that others will recover them. This process may take some time, depending on what is deleted
Safe emptying of waste basket
While holding down the trash icon in the dock bar for a long time, the option to "clear the trash" appears in the pop-up menu, and if you hold down the command key, a "safe emptying of the trash" appears in the menu and click on it. You can also open a Finder window first, and then find the "safe emptying trash" option on the Application menu.
Always perform safe emptying of trash
