First, create your own Word template

1. Start Word, enter the main interface of the program, select the menu "file → new" command, display the New Document task pane. Click Templates on this computer in the template area of the task pane. Tip: C:Program FilesMicrosoft officetemplates is the location where Word provides the template, noting the difference between the default save locations for templates created by previous Word users.

4. Return to the Organizer dialog box, and you can see that the styles in the elegant report template are listed in the list on the right, and then select the style Heading 2 that you want to reference to your template, and then click the Copy button. Drag the Style box scroll bar, find the block reference style, and copy it to your template in the same way.

5. After you complete the operation, click the Close button, return to the Word editing window, open the Styles and Formatting task pane, and see the Heading 2 and block reference styles, which have been introduced into your own templates:

7. In order to make the template more perfect, you can also carefully define other details.

First, you must not forget to design the appropriate collection of styles based on the nature of the template. Tips: Directly to save doc file as a template method is not desirable, so do get the template will be missing many features, such as "AutoText" in the entry can not be used.

Second, modify, edit existing templates

Office XP itself comes with a large variety of file templates, but some may not be as satisfactory when they are used. At this point, you can modify the existing file template to make it more in line with the user's requirements.

Select file → new, and then click the Generic template item under new from template to eject the Templates Selection window. Select a category, such as "letters and Faxes," and then select elegant letters, then fill in the appropriate location with the company name, title, name, and so on, and then click File → Save As, select File template in the Save as type dropdown box of the Save As dialog box, and save it under the template folder by default. Next, to modify the default page size, select "File" → "Page setup", the page size and the left and right margins to set their own values, and then click the "Paper" tab, in which the width and height of the page is defined. Finally press the "Default" button at the bottom left of the window, and a window to modify the default template appears, pressing the Yes button.

When you restart Word, the new file is automatically indented and the page is a lot narrower, which means that the settings you just made are in effect.

Tips: Now there are many English Word template files online, you can change the English information into Chinese, and then save it as a template, so that you can better for their own use.
