Map registration can be divided into image registration and space registration. The image registration object is a raster image, such as a TIFF image. The registered image can be savedESRI grid, Tiff, or ERDAS Imagine format. Spatial registration (spatial adjustment) is a registration of vector data.

I. Image Registration Matching in ArcGIS: 1. Open ArcMap and add the georeferencing toolbar.
2. Add the image to ArcMap and you will find that the tool in the georeferencing toolbar is activated. In View/data frame properties's coordinate properties, select the coordinate system. For the Earth (projection) coordinate system, select projected Coordinate System in predefined. The coordinate unit is generally meters. If the coordinate system is a geographical coordinate system (expressed by longitude and latitude), select geographic coordinate system.
3. Remove the check box before "Auto adjust" before correction. In school, we need to know the coordinates of some special points. For example, for the intersection of a kilometer grid, we take several even points, not less than seven. In reality, these points must be evenly distributed in the graph.
4. Do not select Auto adjust under the georeferencing menu of the georeferencing toolbar.
5. Click Add Control Point on the georeferencing toolbar.
6. Use this tool to find a control point on the scan chart and click it right. input x and y enter the actual coordinates of the point. When using the geographic coordinate system, enter the latitude and longitude, And the latitude and longitude are represented by decimal places. For example, 110 ° 30 '30' should be written as 110.508 (= 110 + 30.5/60 ).
7. add multiple control points on the image in the same way and enter their actual coordinates.
8. After adding all control points, click Update display under the georeferencing menu.
9. After the update, it becomes a real coordinate.
10. Under the georeferencing menu, click rectify to save the calibrated image. Perform registration in ArcView: Software preparation: ArcView. The image wape extension module must be installed.
Data preparation: raster images must have coordinates (coordinates or latitude and longitude coordinates)
Steps:
1. Find at least four coordinate points on the Raster image. The coordinate points should be evenly distributed.
2. Open ArcView, click chart, and click New to create a new table.
3. input the X and Y coordinates (the point coordinates on the raster map ),
4. Click Save. Open the View window, click theme, add event theme, and set the field to the X and Y fields in the newly created table.
5. Import the data to the view. You can see several points.
6. Convert to SHP again, convert it to a vertex. SHP file, and add it to the view.
7. Set the projection method in propertise in the view.
8. Now the control point file is ready.
9. Close all windows, click File-extension, image wape, and click this module. An Image wape line is added to the menu bar.
10. Click image wape -- image wape session and select the Raster image you want to register to the first box. Then select the generated dot file to the second box.
Ii. Spatial registration (ArcGIS)
1 First Arc catalog Set the projection method for the vector image to be registered (right-click the image Shapefile Attribute Table Shape Define the projection method in field properties;
2 , Pass Excel Or create a text file in notepad and enter the coordinates of several control points, X Forward, Y It is a weft direction and can be a kilometer grid coordinate. It corresponds to the projection method defined above and is saved;
3 In ArcMap Open the vector graph and set it to "start editing" in the "Editor ";
4 Set "set adjust data" in "spatial adjustment" to "all features in these ), then open the control point file created above in the link;
5 Double-click the coordinate value in the control point file, and double-click the corresponding vertex in the vector graph to create the first link. Follow this method to create several links;
6 , Click "Registration" under "Space registration" (available from Gray to black), the registration is complete.
