In ArcGIS, it is often necessary to split known surface layers (elements) based on known line layers (elements ). After research, construct features in the topology menu can be used. The details are as follows:
To use line layer a and surface layer B, use a to split the B layer. The procedure is as follows:
1. Open the editor editing toolbar and click start editing to start editing.
2. Call up the topology menu.
3. Select all layers: Right-click the unit price, and select "select/select all ".
4. Click the tool building elements (construct features) of the topology toolbar ).
5. In the displayed dialog box, select the third "split existing features in target layer using selection", and click "OK, layer layer is automatically divided by line edge to complete the operation.
Note: The layer to be split is not the selected line layer, so be sure to differentiate it. Otherwise, the system will prompt: "The operation cannot be completed because the selection contains a feature from the Target Feature class ".
