The Application Builder of ArcGIS viewer for Silverlight is used to quickly build a guide-type application based on ArcGIS viewer. It is a WYSIWYG application. Next, let's take a step-by-step operation.
After Application Builder is installed for the first time, click "start"> "All Programs"> "ArcGIS"> "ArcGIS viewer for Silverlight 1.0.1"> "ArcGIS viewer for Silverlight 1.0.1" to enter the wizard.
Click create new application,
On this page, choose whether to create a map or modify it on a topic map shared by others. Click "open" in the new map"
This is the main interface for configuring the viewer application. You can configure basic maps, business maps, function tools, and layout templates in the application on the top three tabs.
On the map tab, select a base map service from the base map drop-down box and scale the map to the initial range. Of course, you do not find the basemap service in the map list. You can set the map service list by setting the button in the upper right corner to add your own basemap service,
Click Browse under the layers tab. In the displayed window, enter the URL of the Business Map Service you want to add. In the listed layers, you can choose to add the entire map service, you can also add a layer in the map service. The effect is as follows:
Right-click the layer and you can configure its transparency, symbolization, pop-up window, table, filter, hotspot graph clustering, and other effects.
Here we will make a hotspot map for the added poi points.
After the basic map configuration is complete, we can add some tools. You can configure the Tools tab. Here you can add GP services, built-in tools, and custom tools.

Next, click Configure to configure the print template.
Select a template and click OK.
Finally, you can use the layout tab to change the application name, logo, Link, application template, and color.
Click the deploy button in the upper-right corner to deploy the application to IIS.
