1. Test Environment Description

ARCSDE version: 10.2.2

Oracle version: 12.1.0.1 and 11.2.0.1

Windows version: Windows Server R2

Test data: China 400W interface Data

2. SQL Operation St_geometry Test

The test statement is very simple, just a simple query of the geometric coordinate point information in the layer, execute the SQL statement as follows:

Select St_astext (Shape) from China;

Select St_astext (Shape) from the China where objected<4;

When testing the above statements on two different versions of the Oracle database, the following errors were executed:

Other test results are as follows:

Select St_astext (Shape) from the China where objectid=1;

Objected=1 corresponding to the administrative boundary of Heilongjiang Province, the implementation of the first report ORA-28579, and then the normal implementation.

Select St_astext (Shape) from the China where objectid=;

The objected=33 corresponds to the administrative boundary of Hong Kong and is carried out normally.

3. Cause analysis

When the number of points in the query data too long will be an error, such as query Heilongjiang, all elements.

4. Alternative Solutions

The above test statement is not found in the ArcSDE10.2.1 version, you can use the following two alternative solutions to solve the problem of the error:

(1) Replace the St_geometry deployed library file with the 10.2.1 version, and the Geodatabase still uses the 10.2.2 version.

(2) Deploy the ArcSDE10.2.1 version geodatabase and the corresponding version st_geometry.
