Quarantine Management
Overview
Axapta's quarantine functions are confusing and useless, perhaps because I didn't understand its role. in my personal opinion, quarantine should be to check whether there are any flaws in the items. If there are any flaws in the items, return the goods. However, the axapta quarantine can only be decommissioned, and I do not even know where the items have been decommissioned. This is a mysterious disappearance, at least I haven't found any location yet. where does Quarantine mean? It's not very clear. Anyway, let's introduce the axapta quarantine management process.
From the process point of view, the quarantine management is actually a pair of transfer in the stock room, which is transferred from the standard (default) warehouse to the quarantine warehouse, and then transferred back.
You can perform quarantine tasks manually or automatically. of course, the premise is to create a quarantine warehouse. There are two types of warehouse in the system (axapta4.0 has one more transport warehouse, which is used as a transit warehouse), Standard (default) warehouse and quarantine warehouse. if quarantine management is required for the materials in a warehouse, it must be associated with the quarantine warehouse. the operation path is as follows:
Inventory management-> Settings-> Inventory subdivision-> warehouse, as shown in the following figure:
Quarantine status:
Created: this status is only valid for manual quarantine management. Materials in this status are still in the standard warehouse and can be reserved and collected for these materials.
Started: When quarantine is automatically managed, the quarantine is automatically transitioned to this status. The quarantine has started in the quarantine warehouse.
Reported as finished: The quarantine has been completed, but the materials are still in the quarantine warehouse.
Ended: Transfer from quarantine warehouse to official Warehouse, available.
Manual quarantine management:
Inventory management-> period-> renewal ticket
No additional parameters are required.
Select a material, find the corresponding quarantine warehouse, and then step by step. this is needless to say. there is a function button in the form, split and waste, corresponding to batch quarantine and decommission materials respectively.
Automatic quarantine management:
To set it to automatic quarantine management, you need to set two parameters.
One is that the inventory model group must be selected for quarantine management, such:
The storage dimension group in the dimension Group of the materials to be quarantine must make the warehouse active. It is best to make the primary inventory. Of course, when you make a purchase order, the warehouse for storing materials in the order line must correspond to the quarantine warehouse.
After the preceding two parameters are set, quarantine management can be performed automatically.
The next question is, when will materials go to the quarantine warehouse? When entering the standard warehouse.
1. If the purchase order is registered, enter the quarantine warehouse during registration.
2. If no registration is made, enter the quarantine warehouse during the packing list.
There is almost so much content. I personally feel that the quarantine management should meet the domestic needs, and secondary development is inevitable.
