The long-awaited Azure RBAC (Roles Based Access Control) is officially online.

In many cases, customers need to differentiate between different types of users in order to make appropriate authorization decisions. The idea of role-based access control (RBAC) is to assign permissions to roles that a user can assume, thus defining boundaries appropriately to qualify actions that a class of users can and cannot perform.

Suppose you want to develop an application that is only available to the sales team. To access the application, the user must not only be a member of the company directory, but also be assigned to a sales group to ensure that only authenticated sales team members can access the application.
