Installing additional classic menu software is simple: You only have to choose to add a new tab to the left or right of the existing tab, and when added, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint automatically loads a tab called menu. It will be able to provide menus like Office 2003.

In this menu, you can see the "All" option, which is a drop-down menu containing the first level commands, which is the file, edit, view, and so on, in addition to the main menu in Word 2003, each containing a submenu of the commands associated with it. These menu items in the menu tab are actually duplicate options, but they are more intuitive to view.

And some new commands in 2007, such as "Publish," are also placed on the File menu.

Classic menu is inserted as a new tab, so it does not affect the internal code for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007. But when you click on one of the top-level menu items, such as files, edits, and so on, you'll notice that the commands in the list use the Office 2007 icon.

Not all things are really like the 2003 version of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and some of the nuances are still there. The headers and footers in the view command are different from the past, and they also contain a submenu. There are some other strange differences: In Word 2003, tools > Macros > Macros become tools > code > Macros. In classic menu in Word 2007, there is one compelling thing that is not available in Word 2003: On the File menu, there are two page setup commands, one opens the dialog box, and the other is the submenu that opens the Settings command.

You cannot make changes to the classic menu settings, and this program simply installs a new tab, that's all.

One of the things you might want to use: Add a new menu tab to the Quick Access Toolbar and hide it in ribbon. This way you can use the Qat icon directly without using Ribbon.

Classic Menu can help you find the commands you need in your past style menu, but don't expect to be able to use the same shortcuts in Office 2003. For example, in Office 2003, you can use Alt+f to open the Drop-down menu for files. In office 2007, Alt+f is similar to clicking the Office Button because the commands in the file are included in the button. Even if you install the classic menu, you still trigger the Office Button when you press ALT+F, instead of opening the File menu.

Although the shortcuts are different from Office 2003, you can still use some shortcuts to select among the menus, and these "shortcuts" often require more keystrokes. For example, in Office 2003, you can press Alt+a to view the Table menu, press "I" to select "Insert" in the Drop-down menu, and then press "T" to insert a table. In the classic menu in Word 2007, the key you need to press is more complicated: press Alt+q to open the menu tab in Ribbon, then press "A", "1" To select the table command in the top-level menu, and then press the RIGHT ARROW key to open the next Level menu. , and then press "I" to select the "Insert" command.
