Computers give us too much convenience. If there is a lack of computers in modern life, I can't imagine what it will become. However, computers, like humans, often get "sick". If they are serious, they will cause data losses, which can be a big headache for users. Of course, to prevent this type of incidents, smart humans have developed many powerful data backup and recovery tools to minimize the damage caused by such incidents.
1. Email
In Windows NT
In the operating system, OutLook Express emails are generally stored in:
"E: \ Documents and Settings \ cyf \ Local Settings \ Application Data \ Identities \
\ Microsoft \ Outlook Express \ inbox. dbx "directory, some of which are slightly different due to different user names.
After entering this folder, you can see some files named "inbox. dbx" and "inbox. dbx". copying these files to other folders plays a role in backup. Copy these files back for Recovery (1 ). (The system prompts that these folders will be automatically hidden. You need to perform the display operation to see the relevant folders ).

2. Address Book
Go to the OutLook Express main interface, click the "Address Book" button, and the address book window is displayed. Click "File> export> Address Book" (2 ).
Figure 2
Ask about the exported file name in OutLook Express. Enter the file name and click "save" (3 ).
Figure 3
This completes the backup of the address book. The import procedure is similar to export. First, open OutLook Express, enter the address book window, and click "File> Import> Address Book" (4 ).

Fill in the correct import file name in the import window, and click "open" to complete the import.
3. Signature
Generally, there are two types of signature settings: one is to specify a text file containing a signature, and the other is to directly input it in Outlook Express. For the first type, you only need to copy the text file to another place for backup. For the second type, you should back up the file in the registry.
Open the run menu, enter regedit, and press enter to go to the Registry Editor. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ identities \ Software \ Microsoft \ outlookexpress \ 5.0 \ signatures in sequence.
(Note that "" is different because of different user names), and then click "file à export" to export the primary key and save it as the reg file (5 ).

The "Save type" option (6) is not modified ).

The method to restore the signature is relatively simple: double-click the corresponding reg file, the system prompts a confirmation window, click the "OK" button, the signature key value is imported into the registry.
