This afternoon, I attended a vendor show. They are the IBM China Research Center and Baidu. The cooperation content is Baidu's hard drive search, which supports searching Lotus emails and documents.
In fact, Baidu's hard drive search has opened some API interfaces very early to support searching in various formats. For example, Foxmail and other formats. Currently, Lotus is supported.
However, there is a problem: IBM has promoted a powerful Enterprise Search concept in its new database product, that is, it supports searching unstructured documents, it is estimated that it certainly includes support for unique file formats such as Lotus. However, Baidu now supports Lotus search, which is quite interesting.
The same is true at the site. The spokespersons of both parties focus on their own strengths and their strengths. In terms of cooperation, they are expressed in some official words. In particular, Baidu's CTO has made almost a Baidu product show.
I don't know who is taking advantage of this cooperation, or Baidu borrowed IBM's reputation, while IBM borrowed Baidu's technology to better support its own format.
