I. Definition and type of credit card

(a) What is a credit card

A credit card means a credit voucher and payment instrument issued by a bank, a financial institution or a grantee to a reputable unit or individual, which can be used for direct consumption at a designated store or place, and can be used to deposit and withdraw funds at the outlets of the issuing bank and affiliated institutions.

Broadly and narrowly defined credit card points:

Narrow credit card: A credit card issued by a commercial bank.

Generalized credit cards: Any person who is able to provide credit certificates to cardholders who can purchase or enjoy special consumption by card

(b) Credit card type

Depending on the nature of the card issuer, it can be divided into: Commercial credit card, travel credit card, bank credit card.

According to the issuer of the different, can be divided into: unit card (corporate card), personal card (Personal card)

Depending on how the funds are liquidated, they can be divided into: debit cards (Debit card), credit card

Debit cards: Transfer card, ATM card

Credit cards: Shopping cards, cheque cards

According to the credit card circulation range, can be divided into: international cards, regional cards

According to the credit card holder's reputation, status and other credit conditions, can be divided into: gold, ordinary card

Depending on the status of the credit card holder and the liability for liquidation, it can be divided into: Main card, supplementary card

According to the different nature of credit card, can be divided into: Plastic card, magnetic stripe card, IC card and laser card

Other classification methods: Joint card, identity card, etc.
