Basic route settings: Guide to Broadband Router Installation

The simplest configuration for using a Broadband Router to access the Internet is: a PC with a 10/100 M Ethernet NIC, a broadband access line that you have applied for and activated from the carrier, and a Broadband Router. I. hardware Installation

Package the Broadband Router, remove the power cord of the Broadband Router and power adapter), and place the Broadband Router on the desktop and other planes. Connect the power outlet and the Broadband Router with the power adapter power cord. Two PC settings

1. If you are using the Windows 95/98 operating system, after entering the operating system, click "start"> "set"> "Control Panel" on the taskbar ", double-click the "network" icon and you will see the following interface: Select the "TCP/IP" attribute on the "configuration" page. You may see more than one "TCP/IP". Select "TCP/IP" for the NIC connecting to the Broadband Router ". The property page is as follows: Fill in IP address 192.168.1.2 on the "ip address" Page, subnet mask 255.255.0, and "Gateway" page in the gateway 192.168.1.1. Click "OK" on the page and "OK" on the "Network Properties" page to restart the PC as prompted.

2. If you are using a Windows/XP operating system, after entering the operating system, click "start"> "set"> "Control Panel" on the taskbar ", double-click the "Network and dial-up connections" icon and select the "local connection" corresponding to the NIC installed on the Broadband Router ".

Select "properties"> "general"> "Internet protocol TCP/IP)" to view its "properties". You will see the following page. Enter the IP address 192.168.1.2 as shown in the figure, subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, the default gateway 192.168.1.1. Click "OK" on the page and "OK" on the "Local Connection Properties" page ". Wait until the system configuration is complete. Note: Fill in the local DNS server address in "Use the following DNS server address. Now you can log on to the Broadband Router!

Tri-Broadband Router Installation

Open the IE browser and select "Tools"> "Internet Options"> "connection"> "LAN Settings" in the menu bar. please press "√" before "Automatic Detection Settings" on this page ", however, do not set "√" in the "use automatic configuration script" and "Proxy Server" sections ". Click "OK" to return to IE.

Enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. In the displayed dialog box, enter the username "admin" and password "admin". Click OK to log on to the Broadband Router. 1. If you are using ADSL dial-up Internet access, select "ADSL virtual dialing PPPoE" and click "Next ", fill in the internet account and password provided by the carrier to you. Now, go to the PC's "TCP/IP properties" page, enter the DNS server address obtained by the Broadband Router in the DNS properties page. On the Windows 95/98 page, enter the DNS server address and click "add".) confirm your change. Now, you can use your PC to access the Internet.

2. If you are using a CableModem or an Ethernet bandwidth Dynamic IP address, select "Ethernet bandwidth to automatically obtain the IP address dynamic IP address from the network service provider )", click "Next" to complete the configuration of the Broadband Router. If you are using an Ethernet broadband fixed IP address, select "Ethernet broadband, static IP address provided by the network service provider)" and click "Next ", enter the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS server, and backup DNS server that the carrier has allocated to you.
