An error occurred while starting the ntoskrnl.exe file!
After the device is started, the system prompts:
The following files are missing or incorrect:
Windows XP cannot be started:
<Windows root>/system32/ntoskrnl.exe
Please reinstall the copy of the above files
There are two possibilities for this situation:
1. hardware faults
If the keyboard is not properly inserted, re-plug it.
2. software faults
The solution is as follows:
1) Check the boot. ini file and check whether the boot partition is correct.
2) restore the files under Windows/driver Cache/i386 to system32
3) extract expand sp1.cab-F: ntoskrnl.exe C:/Windows/system32 from the disc
4) Virus Detection
Software faults generally need to be operated in the DOS environment

Appendix 2:
Original boot. ini file (single hard disk, single WINXP operating system)
[Boot loader]
Timeout = 30
Default = multi (0) disk (0) RDISK (0) Partition (1)/Windows
[Operating systems]
Multi (0) disk (0) RDISK (0) Partition (1)/Windows = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional"/fastdetect
2. Q: The system prompts "ntoskrnl. EXE is lost or damaged" during startup ".
A: This is actually caused by an error in the boot. ini file. NT part or loss or error.
for example, for an IDE disk, this part is similar to
multi (0) disk (0) RDISK (0) Partition (2) /winnt = "Windows NT Workstation"
check whether the disk and partition are correct. If you have recently added a new hard disk or changed the partition, try to change the disk () and partition () settings. If you are sure there are no errors, the actual file may be corrupted. Copy the ntoskrnl. EXE file from the installation CD to the % SystemRoot %/system32 directory.
