My experience

Based on some recent events, I would like to talk about my first-line coder experience and my experience in WP over the years.

 

Line 1: Wp product iteration over the past few years and domestic development

Start with mongoart

In those years, the testing machine was able to clarify clearly, including cutting art, O7, Lumia 800, and later 920.

At that time, WP Development and the other two platforms were basically flat in the company (at least at that time the company looked like this) the company has no difference in personnel allocation. At that time, it began to spend a lot of time studying various technologies related to the Windows platform. I want to benefit a lot now

Historical turning point

In the early years, although the user base of WP was small, there were a large number of Loyal users, active on the smart machine network every day, waiting for WP to be more powerful. Knowing the release of 8.0, Microsoft replaced the kernel, and the WP7 mobile phone could not be updated to the 8.0 system. The author did not have any in-depth research on the Windows CE and NT kernel, so I don't know how difficult it is to upgrade the original WP7 model to WP8. No research is conducted here.

A few years later, we looked back at the WP8 upgrade event. The first error was that the CE kernel was not released when WP7 was released, and the second error was that the new kernel was released.

Technology line. Let's take a look at WP's technological iterations over the past few years.

Start

As the overlord of Microsoft on PC, the dot NET Framework has accumulated a lot over the years. Therefore, at the beginning, the development framework of WP follows Silverlight, since the number of coder bases for the WPF and Silverlight systems is still fairly good, at the beginning, it did attract a group of developers to start WP development without any difficulty.

Emergence of problems

Mobile phone system users are destined to win the world, but the premise must be developers. The premise for developers is whether Microsoft can have a good Community, which is not doing well from the very beginning, instead, some forums such as devdiv have had some influence in the short term.

The beginning of a vicious circle

The same is the release of WP8. As mentioned above, the Loyal users of WP7 are clamoring for a bitter voice at this moment. As a result, developers gradually lose their enthusiasm and the vicious circle begins, the loss of developers is doomed to the decline of the platform. However, the launch of WP8 is only the beginning, and many developers have not left to guard against WP.

In the past few years

In the past few years, the vast majority of developers who have not left have been unhappy in the company. (at least the developers I have come to know are like this.) fewer users are destined to be a dispensable small platform, the personnel allocation is more than the other two platforms. In the long run, many developers have left, so the loop goes on and on.

Endpoint

I dare not say where the end of WP is, but I just want to say that the end of WP is just this time. In fact, the programmer's duty is to solve the problem, which has nothing to do with the platform. When we reach out to other platforms, we can better understand the power of the community, which is a huge boost to the platform. But at this stage, I didn't see it on the WP side.

Recently, some bad things really make people think that Microsoft's low market share in China is caused by the fact that the problem may be caused by internal failure. On the other hand, as a so-called expert, what kind of help should we give to later generations? This is also very important. Don't care for your child because it's all about mxp. Don't hurt your child's future. As an expert, please be clear about what to say and what to say. The QQ group is full of low B words. I mentioned earlier that Microsoft's community construction is weak. I have made great efforts to publish Weibo posts and pay close attention to the ideas of WP developers, what else does Microsoft save all mankind? Gates, the founder of your family, said that technology cannot change the world, but poverty cannot be changed. What do you want to save mankind? Wake up, really. Yes, but don't brainwash your later generation. Thank you. I believe Microsoft wants to see you promote the development of the community, rather than making enemies with developers.
