Build a flex development environment under ubuntu7.10

In ubuntu7.10, how does one install flex builder Linux? How to construct the development environment? Multiple images of this blog.

When searching for Adobe Labs, I found that I have not installed the Flash Player Plug-in for Firefox. FirstHereDownloadInstall_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz. Decompress the package on the desktop. Open the terminal and enter:

CD/home/sban/desktop/install_flash_player_9_linux
Sudo copy libflashplayer. So/usr/lib/Mozilla/plugins/

Restart Firefox.

Step 1, Install JRE:

Sudo apt-Get install sun-java6-jre

After installing JRE, check the JRE settings:

Sudo Update-alternatives-config Java

If there is no problem, jre6 should be the default Java environment.

Step 2Install eclipse3.3.x

You may use the following command to install Eclipse:

Sudo apt-Get install eclipse

Unfortunately, the eclipse version provided by ubuntu7.10 is only version 3.2. However, the Adobe Flex builder Linux to be installed requires eclipse3.3.x.

ToHereDownload eclipse3.3.2 to the latest version. On the desktop.

Step 3Decompress eclipse-sdk-3.3.2-linux-gtk.tar.gz to/home/sban/desktop/eclipse. Open terminal and enter the following command:

CD/home/sban/desktop
Sudo CP-r Eclipse/usr/lib/

Through this step, eclipse can be used. For convenience, open the system | preferences | main menu and create an eclipse shortcut menu under the Programming Unit. The command points to/usr/lib/Eclipse/eclipse, icon points to/usr/lib/Eclipse/icon. XPM, as follows:

Step 4Install flex builder Linux.

Download flexbuilder_linux_install_a2_121807.bin from here, place it on the desktop, open ternimal, and enter the following command:

Sudo/home/sban/desktop/flexbuilder_linux_install_a2_121807.bin

The installation interface of flex builder Linux is pretty beautiful:

In this step, the default installation path is/root/adobe_flex_builder_linux. Change it to/usr/lib/adobe_flex_builder_linux.

In this step, the eclipse path must be filled with the installation directory of Eclipse:/usr/lib/eclipse

The following is a confirmation. Finally, open the system | preferences | main menu, and add the flex builder shortcut under the Programming Unit. The command points to/usr/lib/adobe_flex_builder_linux/adobe_flex_builder.sh. During flex development, do not open eclipse directly, instead of using this command. This is explained on Adobe Labs. Now, flex builder Linux has been installed successfully. I am afraid this blog is one of the most frequently-used Images Written by sban. Adobe Labs may not be so dedicated to me.

1. How to first install eclipse3.2 with The sudo apt-Get install eclipse command?

Upload. Run the following command:

Sudo apt-Get remove eclipse
Sugo apt-Get autoremove

Delete the directory with RM-RF/usr/lib/eclipse. Go back to the beginning and download and install eclipse3.3.2 again.

2. What if I have installed flex builder Linux on eclipse3.2?

Upload. Run the uninstall_adobe_flex_builder_linux command in the/usr/lib/adobe_flex_flex_builder_linux directory on the terminal. Since the directory uninstall adobe_flex_builder_linux contains an irregular space and cannot be located directly with CD, you can first jump to the/usr/lib/adobe_flex_builder_linux/directory and then use CD uninstall * to locate the directory.
