Build the symbianos 60 Environment

Today, we spent more than two hours building the platform. Next we will record the building process for future reference.

 

1. Series 60 consists of four software:

1. ActivePerl execution script file Environment

2. j2sdk

Many of the addresses on Thunder are not listed.

3. s60_sdk series60 I have installed version 2.0.

4. vc6.0 SP6

2. Build a development platform

Install the above four software on the platform in strict order.

1. Install vc6.0 with the SP6 patch.

2. Install ActivePerl. You do not need to check enable ppm3 to send profile info into aspn, and select Add Perl to the path enviroment variable and create perl file extension Association to complete the installation.

3. Install j2sdk.

4. Install Series 60 SDK 2.0. We recommend that you install it in an independent folder under the drive letter root directory, such as E:/Symbian.

3. Configure the environment

1. Check the environment variable settings.

Open the system environment variable tab and check whether there is epocroot. If so, manually change it to "/". The change should look like this: epocroot =/Symbian/7.0 S/series60_v20 /. Add E:/Symbian/7.0 S/series60_v20/epoc32/tools in the system path; E:/Symbian/7.0 S/series60_v20/epoc32/GCC/bin;

2. Configure VC

Run the avkonappwiz command in the/Symbian/6.1/series60/series60tools/Application Wizard directory. awx and avkonappwiz. copy the HLP file to the vc6 template directory/Microsoft Visual Studio/common/msdev98/template. In this way, we can see the Series 60 Appwizard V 2.0 option in the VC new project.

3. Create a folder such as mywork In the Symbian directory for VC to create a seriesapp project. Otherwise, the error message "the specified project cannot be inserted into the current workspace" appears ".

 

At this point, you can compile and run the program.
