Centos6.5 replacing a 163 source Epel source

Presumably we've all met, installing a new CentOS system, using Yum to install the software, either can't find it, or it's slow to get mad.

Online in fact, a lot of methods, directly replace 163 source on OK, but basic all the articles are directly wget under 163 of the source, but do not know why, wget down the repo file a variety of not good, but also have to modify their own. I do not know how people like to use, I generally directly bring the system to the Centos-base.repo file empty, and then copy and paste the above content is OK.
