Jon von Tetzchner, CEO of Opera Software, said this week that Microsoft's IE8 browser will continue to undermine network standards. This makes it a waste of time and money to update websites for IE 6 and IE 7. This also means that Microsoft continues to exert improper influences and damages on the network.
Over the years, Microsoft has established its own network standards with its own IE browser engine. This forces website designers to build a browser that is simultaneously compatible with IE and other browsers. This will distort the market.
It is worth noting that although Microsoft has adopted HTML 5 and CSS 2.1 of the World Wide Web Federation in IE 8, it does not use SVG that is already used in Mozilla, Google, and Opera.
Jon von Tetzchner hinted that when IE8 came, No matter what standards it provided to support, its complaint about lack of support for network standards would prompt the EU to investigate Microsoft. This situation is now supported by Google and Mozilla.
