Huawei uses a clearer product positioning-a platform (cloud computing platform, including a series of software and solutions starting with fusion) and three "high-end" Hardware Products (servers, storage and networks ), it solves users' difficulties in cloud computing and big data.

 

In the morning keynote speech, from the product line perspective, the president of last year's IT product line still maintained the model of bringing the president of the cloud computing product line and the president of the storage product line. (This year, the server was released based on the intel E5 V3 processor, but it still failed to reach the elegant level.) The biggest change in the cloud computing product line is the release of fusionsphere 5.0, which includes fusionstorage, fusioncompute, and fusionnetwork. On an integrated and open cloud platform, it supports heterogeneous environments, different applications, and clouds to ensure high performance and low latency. This is the goal of Huawei cloud computing. Huawei also attaches great importance to the construction of the cloud ecosystem. At present, there are more than 5000 verified applications. At the conference, Huawei also announced cooperation with key partners in the development of industrial cloud. Xu Zhijun, the rotating CEO of Huawei, said that Huawei had only one purpose to enter the IT market, namely the cloud. Huawei is trying to provide cloud products and solutions that are better and closer to user needs, and is also a practitioner of cloud applications.

 

In terms of storage, a keyword repeatedly mentioned is "business-driven ". The business driver was mentioned when oceanstor V3 integrated storage was released, but this time it is more explicit and straightforward. This is also the concept of Huawei's entire IT business development. Fan Ruiqi, president of Huawei's storage product line, said that no matter how the storage technology develops in the future, the business remains the core and everything must be driven by the business. Fan Ruiqi described "business-driven storage" as follows: First, integration is realized, and various complex storage technologies are integrated to achieve free data flow. Second, decoupling the data layer from the control layer. Third, service orchestration is implemented through multiple policies. Fourth, storage should understand upper-layer applications, what is the load, and what is the attribute, in this way, the following storage resources are mobilized to match. "Business-driven" doesn't just mean storage. It can be described as "universal" in the entire field of software-defined data centers ".

 

The global connectivity index (GCI) of Huawei started to emerge. Huawei said this was the first time in the industry to conduct a comprehensive and objective quantitative assessment of the connectivity level between the country and the industry. The Huawei global connectivity index is based on the supply and demand theory of economics and the value creation system of enterprises. It covers 25 countries and 10 industries, the value of connectivity is presented at the national and industrial levels. The global connectivity index survey found that connectivity has become an important indicator for measuring national competitiveness. According to Huawei's research and analysis on 16 indicators in two dimensions, the connectivity index is increased by 1 point every time, GDP per capita increases by 1.4%-1.9%, and the growth of developing countries will be significantly greater than that of developed countries. Among the 25 countries in this survey, the German Connectivity Index ranks first in the world. It uses ICT to drive the 4.0 industrial revolution and maintains a good competitive vitality. Developing countries have also achieved accelerated development through positive ICT policies, and the connectivity indexes of Chile, Kenya, Egypt and other countries rank first in the growth space dimension. The global connectivity index shows that most countries in the world have raised ICT investment development to the height of their national strategies, and have fully released the potential of ICT through unified planning to drive sound national economic growth. It seems that from this year onwards, the global connectivity index will become a fixed program for each future HSM conference. This research data provides a reference for Huawei to dispatch troops in the global ICT market.

 

During this year's keynote speech, we invited some representative industry customers, such as BGI and French lighting and entertainment companies. Although the speech was not long enough, I felt "Too Tall" and raised the entire meeting level.

The entire exhibition area is clearly well-designed, but the partner's booth is still as busy as last year ".

 

The display area of the server is very large and the intel logo is very conspicuous. (last year, I mistaken this booth as a partner display area, which is actually a centralized display area for Huawei Server products ), huawei's next-generation server based on Intel E5 V3 processor is unveiled. However, the new brand fusionserver, after the unification of Huawei servers, attracts the most attention.
