Enterprise Library is useful in various situations:

• The Enterprise Library provides sufficient functions to support enterprise applications.ProgramMany common scenarios that must be addressed.

• The Enterprise Library can be used as a basic custom library. You can use the extension points merged in each application block to provide new providers to expand application blocks. You can also modify the source code of an existing application block to add new functions. Finally, you can add new application blocks to the Enterprise Library. You can add extensions or new application blocks for existing application blocks, or use extensions and application blocks developed by others.

• Enterprise Library is well designed, so its application blocks can be independent of each other. You only need to add the used application block to the application without adding the entire library.

• The Enterprise Library contains the source code of the Application Block, which means you can modify the source code to merge it into your library, or use some Enterprise Library source code in other application blocks or applications you build.

• The Enterprise Library contains documents, Quick Start examples, and source code, which means you can use the library as a learning architecture, design, andCodeBest practice tools.
