The previous operation to establish a crosstab query for a table through the Crosstab wizard is more common in Chinese Access 2000. In fact, you can also create queries based on the query itself (including crosstab tables), which is illustrated by using the "design grid" action below.
Step one, refer to the previous action, select the query item in the Database window for the objects group, and then click the New button in the Database window toolbar. Click the Design view option when you go to the New Query dialog box, and click OK.

In step two, in the Show Table dialog box, select the table you want to query or the query that already exists. When you select query, you need to enter the operation through the Query tab, as shown in Figure 18, when you enter the tab, the query already exists in the current database on the screen.
After you have completed both of these steps, query Design view and the design grid it contains will appear on the screen, and the table or query that you select will also appear in the List window in the top half of the view. This chapter selects the Employees and Tasks table and the customer and contract amounts table, as shown in Figure 19.

Note: Each of the two tables selected above has a common primary key _id field, which is important for a crosstab query created below. Otherwise, you can't design it well. Because the crosstab table below is used to query the contract amounts signed by each employee and customer, the primary key ensures that unique values are displayed in the query.
