1. Most of the maximparts available on the market are232CPE (C table working range, PE table 16pin dip packaging), so if you want a relatively high speed, you need to use 1 UF capacitor, the speed can reach 120 kbps, if you use 0.1uf, the speed is only 64 Kbps.Maxim 232aCPE provides a speed of kbps as long as 0.1uf is used.
2. the consumption current of Maxim 232 is relatively large. If we use around two pairs of communication ports, we need a 15ma current. Because we only use one pair of communication ports, it will be a little smaller, however, at present, some computers and notebook COM ports are designed to be low-voltage, so some people cannot work normally with Maxim 232. You can use hirris hin232cp (16pin dip package) to consume less current, as long as 5ma, if no more, you can take the voltage regulator IC 78l05 together, the method to see the following practices.
