Cleverly using WinRAR to disguise confidential documents

WinRAR is commonly used in compression/decompression procedures, in addition to our often winrar as a cryptographic software to use, in the compressed file password can be achieved to protect the data. But there are a lot of cracked software specifically for WinRAR passwords, although setting a long password can help prevent others from brute force, but there are other tricks--it's much safer if the other person doesn't treat your file as if it's not a trivial document.

Is there any way to make someone else turn a blind eye to our confidential documents? Here's how to tell you two strokes, let us use WinRAR to disguise their confidential documents.

Trick One

When someone double-clicks the MP3 file (or JPG file) with the mouse, it will automatically call the software such as Winamp to play the song (or call the image browsing software to open this picture), it seems that everything is normal, who would not think that there should be hidden in your confidential documents. I want to see the secret hidden in it, can be *. MP3 (or *. JPG) renamed to *. RAR file, and then click on the file to see the hidden files in it. Attention, don't give this. RAR file plus password, otherwise renamed to. MP3 files (or. jpg files) cannot play songs or display pictures, which can cause suspicion.

Step one: Put the file you need to encrypt and a MP3 song (or JPG picture) in the same folder, in the Windows Explorer window, select the files and MP3 files (or jpg picture files) you want to encrypt, and then press the right mouse button to choose the Add files to compressed Files command in the pop-up menu.

Step two: In the compressed file name and Parameters dialog box, enter a filename in the compressed file name, select Save in Compress mode, and then click OK to generate one. RAR compressed file (pictured below).

Step three: Click the file to open it with WinRAR, press the right mouse button to select the pop-up menu in the "sort", no matter which one you choose, as long as you can compress the file in the MP3 file (or jpg picture files) to the first of the RAR file can be. Finally, the file name suffix of the resulting compressed file is changed to. MP3 (or. JPG) is OK.

Trick Two

The need to hide the file with WinRAR package compressed into a RAR file, and then prepare a GIF format picture, if you do not, you can use the map software to convert the picture format. Next, use an editor that supports 16 of files, such as UltraEdit 32. Our goal is to hide the rar file in a GIF file. When someone clicks on the GIF file, it will be an image, so you can hide the confidential files. If you want to check the secret, you can rename the GIF file as a RAR file, click on it will start WinRAR, you can see the hidden files.

Special Note: Do not make smart to hide the RAR file to add access to the password, otherwise can not be hidden successfully, run hidden GIF file can not correctly display the picture, renamed to RAR file can not be opened with WinRAR it.

The first step: Prepare a GIF file, suggest you choose this GIF file not too small, otherwise add rar file volume will become larger, a small pixel of GIF files, file size is very large, also can arouse suspicion of others.

Step Two: Use UltraEdit 32 to open the RAR file containing confidential documents, you will see the file of the 16 code, press CTRL + A key to select the entire RAR file code, press CTRL + C key to copy the code.

Step three: Open the GIF file with UltraEdit 32, press Ctrl+end to the end of the GIF file code, as shown in Figure 2, before the 2nd hexadecimal number, press CTRL + V to insert the code for the RAR file just copied. Click "Save" on the "File" menu to merge the gif file with the RAR file.
