Cloudera Error: "Failed to handle Heartbeat Response"

During the installation of CDH using Cloudera Manager, it was discovered that the installation process card was assigned parcel to a slave machine.

Check agent log found the following error:

... Mainthread Agent        ERROR    Failed to handle Heartbeat Response ...

The error alarm said "processing heartbeat response failure", see the alarm message first thought is the network problem?

The network connection between the machines was checked and no problems were found.

Will that be a firewall problem?

Then check the firewall settings for each machine, and then there is no problem.

。。。

Finally found that some of the hosts file contents of the machine inconsistent! Some configurations are not localhost!

Add localhost to the domain name:

127.0. 0.1 localhost

The problem is solved!

Why can't I lack localhost? Because many software is connected to the native address of the code is directly written localhost!
