Cold Compress Therapy
Cold Compress can reduce the subcutaneous capillary contraction and blood flow, reduce local congestion, inhibit the sensory function of nerve cells, reduce the pain, with cooling, damage control, pain relief, prevent secondary infection and increase of hematoma and so on.
There are two common cold compress treatments:
(1) ice bag packing method: This method is a dry and cold method. It is particularly effective for cold applying under ice conditions. In the ice bag made of rubber, it is packed with half a bag of crushed ice (or cold water ), put the bag on the table to improve the bag mouth, compress the bag with your hands, discharge the gas in the bag, tighten the bag mouth, dry the surface of the water, set the cloth, place it in the forehead, groin, and armpit. The cold compress time is generally 20 ~ 30 minutes, multiple times a day.
(2) wet and cold method: Use a basin to hold cold water (Ice cubes can be put in winter, it is best to use a new well water in summer), soak two small towels or gauze in the basin, remove and compress it to the affected area. 4 ~ Change the cloth once every 5 minutes, apply 20 ~ 30 minutes, multiple times a day.
Indications
20℃ ~ 30 deg C of water for a burn, electrooptic eye inflammation effect is better. It is also suitable for nose hemorrhage, soft tissue blunt contusion, early joint sprains and brain injury, cerebral hemorrhage, gas poisoning, high fever and headache.
Hot compress Therapy
Hot compress can make the body surface temperature rise, skin tissue stretch, scrawled capillary relaxation, expansion, Blood Flow Acceleration, strong metabolism, promotes the promotion of blood circulation, dredging, shengmuscle, anti-inflammatory, deswelling, pain relief, and softening of scar tissue in the lesions.
Hot compress therapy is commonly used in the following two types:
(1) hot water bottle method: A method of dry heat method. First check whether there is air leakage in the hot water bottle, and then set the hot water (preferably 60 ℃ ~ 70 deg C) installed to 2/3 of the bag capacity, discharge gas, tighten the bag mouth, dry the water outside the bag, load the cloth inside or with a cloth bag for use. Generally, each hot compress is 20 ~ 30 minutes, 3-30 minutes a day ~ 4 times. If there is no hot water bag, you can also use a warm pot (wrapped with a towel) hot compress, you can also use hot fried salt or rice into a bag instead.
(2) wet heat method: the cloth can be made of gauze or towel. First, dip the cloth in the hot water basin, take it out and screw it to half-dry, and use your wrist palm side to test whether the temperature is appropriate (it must not be hot before it can be applied to the affected area ), pad the cloth with cotton pads to avoid heat loss. Change the cloth once every 5 minutes. You must prepare two parts for applying the cloth, and observe the skin color during replacement. Every 15 ~ 20 minutes, 3 ~ every day ~ 4 times.
This therapy is not clear about acute abdomen, facial triangle infection, various organ internal bleeding, soft tissue contusion or joint sprained early stage, skin eczema, bacterial conjunctivitis and other taboos.
Indications
The pain caused by Chronic gastrointestinal diseases and soft tissue injury does not result in puppies, lymph node inflammation, eye grain swelling, toothache, sore throat, bronchitis, arthritis, and unfavorable urination.
