Before entering the world of ColdFusion MX, you should first learn about Macromedia's latest MX family products. For example:

Here we will briefly discuss the relationship between Macromedia MX products and their impact on Web applications. Before Macromedia launched the MX series, it has fundamentally changed its product development strategy. Part 1 install ColdFusion MX

The ColdFusion MX installation process is divided into the following steps. You can follow the steps to install ColdFusion MX step by step.

Step 1: The installation interface is as follows. First, your system should be 2000 or xp. Second, we recommend that your Server have Ram; otherwise, enterprise-level application Server will not run smoothly. The following is the welcome page during installation.

Step 2: Fill in the username, password, and serial number of ColdFusion MX in the window that appears below. Different serial numbers determine the version of ColdFusion MX. ColdFusion MX is divided into four versions: developer version (serial number is not required), Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition, and embedded J2EE version. If you need to upgrade from an earlier version, enter the serial number required for the upgrade. Then select the user who can operate the software.

Step 3: select the Web server where ColdFusion MX is located, which can be IIS, Apache, Standalone mode, or make ColdFusion MX as the Web server. The Standalone mode is selected, and the port is 8500.

Step 4: select the location where the ColdFusion MX file is stored and the location where the Web page is stored. This step is related to the webServer selected in the previous step.

Step 5: select the content to be installed on the hard disk, but the file running the ColdFusion MX environment must be installed.

Step 6: enter the password managed by ColdFusion MX. Remember the password here. In addition, you can make the password of ColdFusion RDS consistent with that of administrator. You can also enter another password. RDS means remote data management, and subsequent database operations in ColdFusion Studio or DreamweaverMX will be performed through RDS.

Step 7: The installer will provide the settings for the first few steps. You can check through this window. If there are no errors, proceed to the next step.

Step 8: Wait for an installation process. We recommend that you disable the Web Server and disable some applications.

Step 9: The ColdFusion MX installation is complete, but it has not been tested yet!

In step 10, ColdFusion MX will open the browser. If you see this interface, congratulations! Your ColdFusion MX has been installed successfully!
