Common terms in Flash

   First, Stage (stage)

Edit the rectangular area of the movie screen (Figure 1).

Using Flash to make animations is like directing actors acting, of course, giving them a place to play, called the stage in Flash. Stage by the size, sound, lighting and other conditions, the stage in Flash also has the size, color and other settings; Like many dramas, the stage can be more than one.

   Second, Timeline (timeline)

A movie, the stage is not enough, it is important that the actor in a certain time arrangement for the performance, applied to the Flash animation, this time schedule is completed by the timeline (see Figure 1).

   three, frame (frames)

We all know that the film is made up of a lattice of film in order to play out, because the human eye has a visual retention phenomenon, this one lattice of film at a certain speed play out, we look like "move". Animation is also the use of this principle, and this one lattice of film, Flash in the "frame." "Frame" is actually a small lattice on the timeline, a fragment of the stage content.

In the default state, the number is marked every 5 frames (Figure 1).

   Four, key frame (keyframe)

In filmmaking, there are usually many different pieces to be made, and then the pieces are connected together to make a movie. For the producer, each fragment is preceded and terminated with a mark so that it knows what it is when it sees the tag.

In Flash, a tagged frame is called a keyframe, and it works the same as a movie fragment. In addition, keyframes allow Flash to identify the state at which the action starts and ends. For example, in the production of an action, we will be a starting action state and an end action state with the key frame, and then tell the flash action, Flash can be made into a continuous action animation.

   v. Scene (Scene)

Movies require a lot of scenes, and the objects of each scene may be different. Like making movies, Flash can combine actions from multiple scenes into a coherent movie. When we started to edit the movie, it started in the first scene "Scene 1", and the number of scenes was unlimited.

   vi symbol (symbols)

The symbol refers to each individual element in the movie, can be the text, the graph, the button, the movie fragment and so on. It's like an actor in a movie, a prop. In general, before creating a flash animation, you need to plan and build a symbol that needs to be invoked, and then use it at any time in the actual production process.

   Vii. Instance (example)

When you place a symbol on the stage or another symbol, you create an instance of the symbol, that is, the actual application of the symbols, and the use of the symbols to reduce the size of the document, because no matter how many instances are created, Flash saves only one copy in the document. Similarly, the use of symbols can speed up the animation playback.

   Eight, library window (gallery)

Elements for storing symbols that can be reused

   Nine, Layer (layer)

Layers can be viewed as transparent films stacked together, and if there is nothing on the layer, you can see the next layer directly through it. So we can edit different animations on different layers as needed, and do not affect each other, and get the effect of synthesis in the show.

The layer has two main features: In addition to the picture or the text of the place, the other parts are transparent, that is, the lower content can be displayed through the transparent part of the layer is relatively independent, modify one layer, will not affect the other layer.

A layer folder was added to the Flash MX.

   10, Action script (action scripts)

Action script is the scripting language of Flash. Like JavaScript, Action script is an object-oriented programming language. Flash uses action script to add interactivity to the movie. In a simple movie, Flash plays the scenes and frames in the movie sequentially, while in an interactive movie, the user can interact with the movie using the keyboard or mouse.

For example, you can click a button in a movie, and then jump to a different part of the movie to continue playing, you can enter information in the form, and so on. Using ActionScript, you can control objects in Flash movies, create navigation elements and interactive elements, and expand the ability of flash to create interactive movies and Web applications.

   11, components (component)

This is a newly added feature in Flash MX, replacing and extending the SmartClip (smart clips) in Fash5. Component is a user-action script-controlled animation. For example, a dial components, the range of the pointer you can dial (maximum and minimum) is an adjustable parameter.
