The Cassandra data model differs greatly from the model of a relational database:
relational Database model:
Data is stored in tables, data is followed by a paradigm to reduce redundancy, and tables are connected through foreign keys
Cassandra Model:
In Cassandra, the application data is present in the keyspace, which corresponds to the schema in the relational database. There are many column family in the keyspace, which corresponds to tables in the relational database. Column family consists of a set of column, and the associated column makes no difference between the row Key,row key.
Unlike relational databases, relational database tables are often connected by foreign keys, but in Cassandra, column family is not connected or query connections are not supported.
