Completely uninstall Chrome

Set Chrome to a non-default browser

Open the control panel and switch to the classic view;

Click OK;

Windows Vista

 

Go to the control panel and switch to the classic view;

Then open the default application;

Then select set program access and default values, and click custom on the right side;

Select a default browser and set it to a non-Google Chrome browser;

Click OK;

Windows 7

 

Go to Control Panel> Default Application> set default application;

Select another non-Google Chrome browser;

Then click set this program to default;

Delete Google Chrome

Windows

 

Start Menu> All Programs> Google Chrome browser> uninstall Google Chrome. If you want to delete data related to Chrome, select the delete Browsing data check box in the unmount dialog box; set the default browser you want, and click OK. uninstalling the program will automatically complete the remaining work.

 

Manually uninstall Google Chrome on Windows

 

If Chrome's uninstallation program cannot be used, or you want to completely clear the residual information in the registry, you can use the following method to completely uninstall Chrome.

 

Open the folder option from the Control Panel;

Switch to the "View" tab and remove the check box before "Hide extensions of known file types;

Right-click the link> Save As, and save it as remove. reg (you need to set the Save type to all files in the SAVE dialog box, otherwise you can only save it as a text file );

Completely exit the Chrome browser (right-click the Chrome icon at the system tray );

Double-click the remove. reg file you just downloaded, click "yes" in the displayed dialog box, and then click "OK;

Go to "run" from the Start menu and enter the following command:

Windows XP: % USERPROFILE % \ Local Settings \ Application Data \ Google

Windows Vista: % LOCALAPPDATA % \ Google

Delete the Chrome folder from the opened folder.

Mac OS X

 

Drag the Google Chrome icon from the application folder to the dashboard in the Dock bar. Then, use the Finder to enter/Users/eyon/Library/Application Support/Google, directly delete all the Chrome folders, and then drag the Chrome icon out of the Dock bar.

 

Delete Chrome synchronization data from Google Server

 

Deleting Chrome from your computer does not mean that the Chrome synchronization data on the Google server is also deleted, such as the synchronized bookmarks, passwords, and other settings. If you think it is particularly necessary, you can also delete the synchronized data stored in Chrome on the Google server. The method is simple:

 

Use your Google account to log on to https://www.google.com/dashboard /;

Then locate the Chrome Sync region;

Click Stop sync and delete data from Google;

Confirm.
