Test the forwarding performance of packets such as Layer 2, Layer 3 IPv4 and IPv6 of port 1.28 million, multicast, MPLS, and burst traffic cache, as the flagship product of the H3C Data Center-level Core switch, the S12500 delivers outstanding forwarding performance, powerful caching capabilities, and high reliability and stability. It has been highly praised by testers. After passing the Tolly test at the beginning of the year, the S12500 fully reflected the advantages of H3C In the Ethernet Switching technology field.

To test the forwarding performance of the S12500 with high port density, this evaluation uses the highest capacity of the sibolun SpirentTestCenter testing platform, the traffic test model is based on a full-connection FULLMESH model with stricter requirements and better description of the overall performance of the tested device. Test results show that the S12500 achieves 100% throughput and zero packet loss in multiple scenarios, such as L2 unicast, L3 IPv4 unicast, L3 IPv6 unicast, and L3 MPLS Forwarding, in one fell swoop, it created a test record for the full-line rate forwarding of the MPLS machine of the data center-level Core switch, solving the problem that the full-service security virtual network cannot achieve high-speed forwarding for the customer, fully meets the performance requirements of data centers and other application environments. At the same time, in the layer-3 multicast test of IPv4 and IPv6, The S12500 achieves line speed replication from Port 10 thousand to other port 1.27 million, this laid a solid foundation for IPTV, video monitoring, and other multicast-related businesses.

The results of the burst cache test show that when the 20 thousand m port line rate sends traffic to another 10 thousand m port, the cache capacity of the 309.38 m port is as high as ms, and as the number of inbound ports increases, this cache capability is also increasing, which fully proves that the cache model of the S12500 Series Data Center-level Core switch is an inbound distributed accumulative cache model. This cache model perfectly matches with the network congestion model, it is very suitable for high-speed switching networks with large traffic volumes and sudden bursts.

The testers also tested the IRF2 (Second Generation Intelligent elastic architecture technology) features of the S12500 and S9500E respectively. The results show that after the IRF2 feature is enabled, as a logical device, you can perform unified configuration management and support cross-frame link aggregation. At the same time, the fault protection time for this link aggregation is within 10 ms, it is proved that deploying IRF2 on S12500 or S9500E can simplify network maintenance and provide higher reliability.

It is reported that, based on the SpirentTestCenter test platform, the performance of the S9512E route switch is also evaluated, and the test results are equally surprising. In the forwarding Performance Test of layer-2 packets, layer-3 IPv4, layer-3 IPv6, and layer-3 MPLS on port 0.48 million, the most rigorous full-connection FULLMESH traffic model is adopted in the same as the S12500 series, s9512E also achieves 100% throughput and zero packet loss.
