Computer Sound card optimization skills

For the entire computer system, the performance of a hardware is almost dependent on the reasonable configuration of all hardware, it is particularly important for hardware to install the latest stable driver. Among them, motherboard chipset driver and BIOS update can often solve many problems in the process of using a sound card, such as sound, crash and so on. Similarly, for sound cards, driver updates are as important as graphics cards, and new versions of the driver can also solve many of the problems in applications, in addition to adding some new features to the sound card and improving performance. How can a sound system with such a compatibility problem sound?

In addition, we should update the version of DirectX with the Times, as today's DirectX 9.0. Why, then? Because DirectX contains more than just our familiar direct-flow, it also includes direct sound and direct Music for the corresponding sound system, which adds a lot of new features to each version of the update. The latest multimedia software, such as Windows Media Player, needs the support of DirectX 9.0, and more and more games are joining the ranks. Therefore, to get more audio experience, we still have to abandon the "can use on the line" principle.

Option settings to catch

For example, in the Windows XP operating system, click start → settings → control Panel to locate the sound and Audio Devices icon, and then double-click to open the sound and audio Device properties Settings window. 1. In the middle of the main volume lever adjustment, we recommend that the volume set to the maximum value of about 70%, because the sound card gain, the greater the degree of distortion. Clicking on the "Advanced" button below the lever will pop up the play Control Panel and click on "options→advanced Controls", which allows us to turn on the Advanced property settings for the sound card (Figure 1). Click "Options→properties" to select the playback items that need to be tuned in the Volume Control Panel in the pop-up window (Figure 2). Similarly, select "Recording" and click on the audio source (Figure 3). After the selection, press "OK" to close the dialog box and return to the "Play Control" panel, the less commonly used sound sources such as line-in, microphone, such as mute, so as to minimize the interference of the sound card output. Click "Advanced" under "Play control" to adjust the gain of high and low tones in the pop-up window, which can greatly improve the quality of audio playback (Figure 4). The friend who uses the digital speaker must select "Digital Output only" to hear the sound. In addition, click "Advanced" under "Microphone" to add 20dB gain to the microphone.

2. Click "Speaker Volume", where we can adjust the volume of the left and right channels respectively. Many friends are limited by space, speakers and can not be placed symmetrically on both sides of the display. At this point, we can adjust the individual channel to achieve the sound of the left and right channel is always centered on the display. Click "Advanced→speakers" and select your sound system in the Drop-down menu below the screen. This step is very important, for example, you are using 5. 1-Channel speaker system, if the default setting is used here (2. 1 channel), then when you use WinDVD this software that calls DirectSound to play DVDs, your 5. The 1-Channel output option turns gray and is not optional.

Click on the "Performance" tab, in the "Hardware acceleration" option, there are 4 levels from left to right, if your sound card is all right, you can let the system use "Full hardware acceleration." If your sound card finds a lot of static, noise, or bounce, and updates the driver, you can try the following methods. Change the system's default "Full hardware Acceleration" to "basic acceleration", which means the second level is OK. But this method wastes the performance of the sound card, if you are sensitive to sound, I would recommend you to change a good sound card or a sound card to do some electromagnetic shielding measures.
