According to the latest report released by market research firm comScore, Google accounted for March this year of the U.S. Internet search market in 48.3%, an increase of 0.2 age points from the previous month, widening the gap with major competitors.
In March this year, Yahoo continued to rank second in the U.S. online search market, accounting for 27.5% of the market share, down 0.6 age points from the previous month. Microsoft ranked third, accounting for 10.9% of the market share, it increased by 0.4 age points over the previous month. Ask Networks ranked fourth, accounting for 5.2% of the market share, an increase of 0.2 age points over the previous month. Time Warner Networks ranked fifth, accounting for 5.0% of the market share, an increase of 0.1 age points over the previous month.
Data shows that Americans performed a total of March this year online searches in 7.3 billion, up February this year from 6%, up 14% from the same period last year. Among them, Google performs 3.5 billion web searches, Yahoo performs 2 billion web searches, and Microsoft website performs 0.798 billion searches, the number of searches on the Ask Network is 0.379 billion, and the number of searches on the Time Warner Network is 0.368 billion.
