A friend gave me a wireless device. It is said that as long as it is plugged into a machine that can access the Internet, the device can bring all nearby mobile phones and laptops to access the Internet.
It is very convenient to set up a LAN in a place without network input. For example, if you bring a 3G network card to the mountains, a computer can access the Internet through a 3G network card, then, you can insert the device into a computer that accesses the Internet through a 3G Nic so that your mobile phone can be connected to a friend's notebook. you can insert the device into a unit's desktop, then let your mobile phone and laptop access the Internet (if the unit is not wireless ).
Device Name:Comfast wireless USB adapter B/G/n
Model: cf-150ns
The device has two modes: base station and access point.
Base station mode:
The device is equivalent to a wireless wifa receiver that can receive external wireless signals.
Access Point Mode:
A device is equivalent to a wireless router. You can connect a device's mobile phone or laptop to the Internet through the host where the device is located.
If the host connected to the device cannot access the Internet, the mobile phones and laptops that connect to the device wirelessly cannot access the Internet.
In Access Point mode, a vro with the SSID 'hostname _ AP 'is built on the access host of the device. DHCP will generate the address 192.168.100.x for the client, although the SSID carries the word "AP, but it is actually a router.
Either use a wireless receiver or directly connect a wireless signal to a wireless router. You can select either of the two modes. If you want a device to use a wireless receiver to receive wireless signals and then use multiple computers to access the Internet, no! In fact, it is easy to figure it out. The terminal connected to the device will surely discover wireless signals, so that the terminal can directly connect to the wireless signal source. Why bother connecting the device ?!
Device Installation Method:
Insert the device into the host and install the drive of the CDProgramThe shortcut of the configuration program is generated on the desktop.
You can modify the SSID, channels select default 1, wireless network installation settings WPA2-PSK Network Authentication, date encryption select AES, then enter the password, I entered 8. If I select other items for network verification and date encryption, the client cannot obtain the IP address.
After the installation is complete, you can view the wireless device from the system tray, and right-click to view its information, including whether the router is connected to the Internet, and the IP address of the router (generally 192.168.100.1 ).
Client wireless connection device:
When the client finds the SSID and connects, it requires a password. Enter the password you set. If the entered password is incorrect, the system will prompt that the password is incorrect and you are not allowed to connect.
