Configure cloud input for Fcitx input method
Why the Candidate box shows the ellipsis
When you use FCITX to enter Chinese, you can often see the second or third of the candidate words appear as ellipses, which is actually a FCITX candidate for cloud adaptation. Because the FCITX by default is Google, and Google on the mainland is not normal access, so the candidate word box here becomes an ellipsis. How to configure cloud input
Locate the FCITX configuration (or Run command Fcitx-configtool) in the menu and open the FCITX configuration interface. In the Add-on tab, select the Ruby , click Configure , and open the Cloud phonetic configuration interface.
In the configuration interface, will Cloud Pinyin Source selected as Baidu, you can use the cloud pinyin provided by Baidu. This cloud pinyin adaptation is not very intelligent, some new network words fit not to come out, but can fit out the commonly used English, such as Linux, anyway, is always more comfortable than the display ellipsis.
If you do not want to use the cloud Pinyin, you can remove the Enabled tick of the last line in the configuration interface.
