Do not be so anxious before installing IIS. Start the started service first, which saves a lot of trouble! After so long, we can finally start the Distributed Transaction Coordinator service before installation. However, I use the XP system of the original Professional Edition. If ghostversion is used, some services may need to be processed and more services must be started. If it is a ghost Lite version, it should be the same as the xphome version. Problems encountered during installation 1. neither iis6.0 nor 5.0 can be installed in the XP system. 2. I do not know how to install it after the download. 3. during the installation process, the pop-up dialog box where files cannot be copied and the system is modified and whether to continue the dialog box is very depressing. 4. no default website exists on the Internet Information Server after installation. after installation, enter http: // localhost in the address bar and the server application error is displayed, that is, Error 500 6. after installation, the website cannot be started by default. The solution to these problems is described as follows: 1. You need to know what your system is like before installing IIS. The home version cannot be installed, it seems that there are installation methods on the Internet. We have used the Home Edition, so we have never tried it. If you are a Home Edition, you can try it. If your system is in the family version, you should know that Windows 98 can only be installed with pws4.0; Windows 2000 --- iis5.0; Windows 2003 --- iis6.0; Windows XP --- iis5.1. if you are not using the System Disk for installation, download the IIS you want to install online! Problem 2: My system is XP, So I installed 5.1. Decompress the package and place it anywhere on your hard disk. Then start/set/control panel/[Add/delete Program ]/[Add/delete Windows Components], and then check the box next to Internet Information Service in the Windows component wizard. (Note: Do not follow the next step, click the details to check if all the boxes are checked. If not, select all the boxes. Otherwise, the problem may occur. 4 ). Now, follow the next step to ask you to insert a CD, no disk, Click Browse, select the path where IIS is stored, and then confirm, here you may have problem 3, if it doesn't show up, you're lucky! Question 3: If the file cannot be found during installation, or the file cannot be copied, do you know why? It is a disaster caused by windons games. ). Re-install. Is it found? In this case, a dialog box will pop up to allow you to re-select the path, and then select another one. However, note that the path is followed by an i386, and you have taken it and confirmed it. The dialog box Indicating that your system is not modified may pop up, and you can cancel it directly. Now you can take a break. You may have installed it successfully, but don't be so happy, if you haven't encountered any problems, you're lucky! Question 4: if you cannot see the default website, open Internet Information Service in [Add/delete windows organization]. The details are all checked. If not, reinstall it! Problem 5: I do not know why this problem occurs. I do not know if it has occurred. The solution is as follows: start> set> Control Panel> Administrative Tools> component service, "console root directory"-> "component service"-> "computer"-> "my computer"-> "COM + application, there is an "IIS Out-of-process pooled" right-click "attribute" -- "ID" -- Adjust "this user" to "Interactive User -- currently logged-on user ". Then, click "OK" and Right-click "properties"> "start ". Another problem here is that "IIS Out-of-process pooled" cannot be found, and there is no such problem! What should I do? Don't worry! Start/run, enter MSDTC-resetlog, and OK. Then open start/set/control panel/Information Management/service, find Distributed Transaction Coordinator, and start it. Now you have to reinstall IIS again. Now you should be able to see IIS Out-of-process pooled! Question 6: It's hard to install it. You can enter http: // localhost in the address bar and the webpage cannot be displayed. It's depressing! After careful consideration, the website is not started by default. Right-click to start and the prompt "the server did not respond to the startup or control request in a timely manner" is found on the Internet, which indicates that there is a problem with the World Wide Web Publishing Services, if it is found that it is not started, an error may occur when it can be started and cannot be started. What should I do? Check again and delete an Update file. The correct method is as follows: Start/set/control panel/[Add/delete programs]. check "display Update file" at the top, locate kb939373, and delete it. Start/set/control panel/management tools/services, find the World Wide Web Publishing Services, start it, change the startup mode to automatic, and return to the default website to start, can it be started? The result is finally displayed. This is how I installed it. It's a wave of twists and turns. Good luck to you! For xphome, enter "C: \ WINDOWS \ INF \ sysoc" in "run" in the "Start" menu. INF, the system will automatically use NotePad to open sysoc. INF file. In sysoc. INF finds the "[components]" section, because it is a simplified version of XP, so there are very few items in it, add this section in it: "IIS = iis2.dll, ocentry, iis2.inf, 7 ". Save and close. Because it is a simplified version of XP, there must be no IIS installation file in the downloaded Installation File. You can click here to download the IIS Installation File. After downloading, decompress the package to the root directory of any drive letter (preferably the root directory to facilitate subsequent commands ). For example, I decompress the compressed package to the root directory of drive D. Next, enter "cmd" in the running process and press enter to start the command line mode. Enter the following two commands in the command line and press enter after each command line ends (assuming that the Drive drive is a D Drive): Expand D: \ iis51 \ IIS. DL _ c: \ windows \ system32 \ Setup \ iis2.dll expand D: \ iis51 \ IIS. in _ c: \ windows \ INF \ iis2.inf. Note that if you extract the file to drive F, you can change d to drive F. At this time, you open the control panel-> Add/delete Windows Components, you will find that the Internet Information Service (IIS) installation options have appeared in the installation list. The subsequent steps are the same as installing IIS, except that files cannot be found during installation (this is normal, because your IIS installation directory is not in the XP default directory ). At this time, you can click "Browse" and select the directory you just decompressed. This allows you to choose the installation file three times in total, and each directory will follow the steps described above. No surprise. After a while, IIS will be installed. Click "finish ". However, this step is not complete yet. You need to make some settings for IIS: Open "Internet Service Manager" from the management tool, right-click "Default web site", and go to the "Directory Security" tab, click the "edit" button of "Anonymous Access and authentication control" to bring back the new anonymous method window, and then click the "edit" button in "anonymous access, remove the "allow IIS control password" check box, and then return it all the way. Now all the steps for installing iis5.1 in XP simplified version are completed. By the way, SP3 is installed with iis5.1! How big is your IIS installation package? One of me is about 25 MB, and the installation is normal! You asked me a question just now!
