Configuring server and database in eclipse

Configure server, take Tomcat as an example

Click on the tag

If not, go here to find:

Then right: New->server, depending on the server you've installed, select the version and finish.

Then you right-click the server to choose Start/stop, which is the same as the Startup.bat and shutdown.bat effects of Tomcat itself.

Configure database, take mysql-5.1 as an example

Right-click on "Database Connections" and select New

Then, if you are configuring for the first time, the following interface may appear: You see the version number is 5.1. You may want to ask, I installed MySQL is 5.6 , why this is 5.1?

Please, PRO, 5.1 This version number is the version number of the JDBC driver , you go to the MySQL installation directory to see Connector version number you understand, such as:

And then....

After the configuration, test, ping

Then you can do all sorts of things in the data Source Explorer, but basically connect and disconnect
