Purpose: if the boss provides a network cable in a rental room and can access the Internet, but wants to connect to wifi via a mobile phone, there are two ways:

(1) One way is to install WiFi sharing software (such as sharing genie) on a computer, but the computer needs to be turned on all the time.

(2) Buy a wireless router for expansion.

The following describes how to use a vro for wireless Internet access.

Hypothesis:

The router of the landlord connected to the network cable is the primary router (RA). Our own router is the slave router (RB) and a wireless router. The Administrator account and password of Ra are known.

Settings:

1. Set RA:

(1) use wireless (if Ra is a wireless router, of course, if Ra is a wireless route, we don't have to worry about it) or wired (disconnect the connection between the RA network cable and Rb, log on to the RA Management Interface (default address: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and set Ra DHCP to enable DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol ).

Purpose: enable DHCP so that the PC connected through RA can access the Internet without setting static IP addresses. If DHCP is not enabled for Ra, you need to set static IP addresses for other PCs that use Ra to access the Internet. It is best to set it to DHCP.

Assume that the lan ip address of RA is 192.168.0.1, that is, the IP address used to log on to the RA management interface.

2. Set RB:

(0). The RB method is set to automatic acquisition instead of asdl dialing.

(1) disconnect the lan network cable of Ra from the computer, place it aside, and connect to the RB Management Interface (192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 by default) in a wireless or limited way ), set WLAN port address-> connection type of WLAN port, set to dynamic IP address, other options remain unchanged, OK.

Purpose: Because Ra enables DHCP, if RB wants to connect to Ra, it must be set to dynamically obtain the IP address from RA; If Ra does not enable DHCP, then RB waln port address can be set to a static IP address. We recommend that you dynamically obtain the IP address.

(2) set the IP address of the rb lan port to 192.168.1.1 (which is different from the RB network segment, one 0 Segment and one 1 segment), and restart automatically after confirmation, or manually restart the system tool (and then enter the RB management interface, the login IP address is the changed IP address ).

(3) Check the LAN port of Ra to find the WLAN port of Rb, so that RB can connect to RA by dynamically obtaining the IP address, thereby indirectly accessing the Internet.

3. Set the computer

If the computer is connected to RB through a network cable or wireless connection, whether the IP address is automatically obtained or manually set depends on whether the DHCP service of Rb is enabled. If yes, the computer can automatically obtain the IP address. Otherwise, set manually.

4. access the Internet through a mobile phone, connect to the wireless network of Rb, and enter the password.

The setting of wireless network access mode for RB is not described. This is simple. You can set the encryption mode.

---------------------

The above method can provide RB wireless Internet access function, but the rb lan port address segment is different from the ralan port address segment. Machines within the two segments cannot access the LAN;

In addition, the rb wlan port address must be the same as the ra lan port address segment, because the RB needs the ra lan to connect to the RA.

If you want the machines under RB to access each other over the LAN, such as playing a LAN game, what should you do?

Setting: the LAN port of RA needs to be inserted into a LAN port of Rb, instead of a WLAN port of Rb.

(0). The RB method is set to automatic acquisition instead of asdl dialing.

(1) log on to RB and disable rb dhcp. That is, if the DHCP server is disabled, confirm.

(2) log on to RB and set the LAN port address of Rb to the same network segment as the LAN address of Ra. If the LAN port of RA is 192.168.0.1, the LAN port of Rb can be set to 192.168.0.2, after confirmation, the router is automatically restarted or manually restarted.

(3) The LAN port of RA is connected to any LAN port of Rb.

Note: A. Assume that Ra enables DHCP and the LAN port of RA is 192.168.0.1.

B. A wireless router is equivalent to a switch at this time. The DHCP function of Rb is disabled because RB no longer acts as a router. the IP address of the computer connecting to RB needs to be obtained from Ra, rather than the dynamic non-configured IP address of Rb.

C. The login address of the RB router depends on the LAN port address of the RB router.
