Considerations for SQL Replication Procedures

Process

1. Set up shared replication directory:
\\computer_machine\C$...\.. If the server cancels the default share ($), it fails, a new directory is created, and the directory is given permission to: \\computer_machine\ Share directory Name

2. Establish a Windows account for publishing applications

3. An error 18483 was encountered while configuring the Distributor because distributor_admin is not defined on this server as a remote login, it is not possible to create
Workaround: (Run the following program)
Use master
Go
--Set two variables

SELECT @serverproperty_servername = CONVERT (varchar), serverproperty (' servername ')

--You can read Books Online @ @SERVERNAME
SELECT @servername = CONVERT (varchar, @ @SERVERNAME)

If @serverproperty_servername and @servername are different (because you changed the computer name), run the following
--delete the wrong server name
EXEC sp_dropserver @server = @servername
--Add the correct server name
EXEC sp_addserver @server = @serverproperty_servername, @local = ' local '
