Conventional wireless security measures-Wireless route WEP encryption (1)

Previously, we introduced Disable SSID broadcast, restrict MAC addresses of wireless NICs to make the network more secure, and restrict MAC addresses. Disable wireless SSID broadcast to protect network security. Next we will introduce the wireless route WEP encryption method to protect wireless network security.

1. Configure wireless route WEP Encryption

In the WGR614v6 Setup menu, select 'wireless settings ':

Select 'wep (Wired Equivalent Privacy )':

Input a string in Passphrase, input 'abcdefg' In the example, and then press the generate button. The system will generate four wireless route WEP encryption keys, which are Ke1, 2/3, and 4 respectively.

If you use NETGEAR's wireless management tool, you need to remember abcdefg. If you use XP's wireless management tool, you need to record Key1. Generally, Key1 is used, of course, Key2/3/4 can also be used ).
