Create a fireworks file with the Dreamweaver placeholder

Image placeholders allow users to specify the size and location of future fireworks images to be placed in Dreamweaver, allowing us to use a variety of page layouts before creating a final picture of a Web page, thus combining the features of fireworks and Dreamweaver. Play the powerful function of both.

When you create a fireworks image using the Dreamweaver image placeholder, a new fireworks document is created with the same canvas as the selected placeholder size. Once fireworks is finished and returned to Dreamweaver, the new fireworks graphic that you create replaces the image placeholder that you initially selected.

Specific steps to create a fireworks file using the Dreamweaver placeholder:

First step: In Dreamweaver MX 2004, save the required HTML document to the current site. Position the cursor where you want to insert the fireworks file in the document and select Insert-〉 image Objects-〉 the image placeholder option in turn. And then out of the Image Placeholder dialog box, the user can set the image placeholder name, color, size replacement text, and so on, as shown in Figure 1.

Step Two: Click OK, and the image placeholder is inserted into the Dreamweaver document, as shown in Figure 2.

Step three: Click on the button on the image Placeholder properties panel, Fireworks MX 2004 is started, and the file window shown in Figure 3 appears.

Step Fourth: Create the image in Fireworks, and click Done when you are finished. As shown in Figure 4, specify the name and location of the source PNG file in the Save As dialog box, and then click Save.

Step Fifth: In the "Export" dialog box, name the exported image files, which are JPEG or GIF files that will be displayed in Dreamweaver. You then specify a location for the exported image file, and the selected location should be in the Dreamweaver site folder. If you have entered the name of the image placeholder, the name will be used as the default file name in fireworks, as shown in Figure 5.

Sixth step: When you click the Save button and return to Dreamweaver, the new fireworks image you create replaces the image placeholder you originally selected, as shown in Figure 6.
