Create IE channels

Source: Internet
Author: User
The IE Channel file is actually a plain text file, which has a syntax format similar to html and uses cdf as the extension. Therefore, you do not need any special editing tools to create channel files. Only notepad in windows 95/98/2000 is enough.
Note: Because of the encoding relationship, "<>" is replaced.
The following is an example of a complete channel File:
++
[Channel HREF = "http: // htmldata/2005-02-24/default.htm" SELF = "soim. cdf"
BASE = "http://www.soim.com/"]
[Title] Suo Yi electronic publication [/Title]
[Logo HREF = "http: // htmldata/2005-02-24/soimcdf.gif" Style = "IMAGE"/]
[Logo HREF = "http: // htmldata/2005-02-24/soimicon.gif" Style = "Icon"/]
[Abstract] Suo Yi electronic publication --soim.com [/Abstract]
[Item HREF = "http: // htmldata/2005-02-24/subscribe.htm" Precache = "yes"]
[Title] Suo Yi mail subscription [/Title]
[Abstract] Suo Yi online mail subscription [/Abstract]
[Logo HREF = "http: // htmldata/2005-02-24/subscribe.gif" Style = "icon"/]
[/Item]
[Item HREF = "http: // htmldata/2005-02-24/software.htm" Precache = "yes"]
[Title] shared Software Alliance [/Title]
[Abstract] Suo Yi shared Software Alliance [/Abstract]
[Logo HREF = "http: // htmldata/2005-02-24/software.gif" Style = "icon"/]
[/Item]
[/Channel]
++ ++
Note:
The body of the channel file starts with [channel...] and ends with [/channel. Just like in html, it starts with [html] and ends with [/html.
In the first line [channel,
Href = http: // htmldata/2005-02-24/"..." indicates the name of the main webpage to which the channel points;
Self = "..." is the file name of the channel file itself;
Base = "..." default basic path (URL) of the channel file, in the Channel file
"HREF" can be omitted if all absolute paths are used.
The second line is [title]... [/title]. Enter the Channel title.
In the third and fourth lines of [logo,
Href = http: // htmldata/2005-02-24/"..." fill in the pattern file name,
Style = "..... "Fill in the description of the pattern." image "indicates the icon located in the Channel Bar (size: 80*32 pixels)." icon "indicates the pattern of the channel File (size: 32*32 pixels ). Note: Do not miss the "/" at the end.
The fifth line is [abstract]... [/abstract]. Enter the description of the channel content.
The sixth line [item...] defines the subchannel. Subchannels can be links to some main topics on the home page. Href = http: // htmldata/2005-02-24 /"...... "Fill in the webpage file name pointed to by the sub-channel; Precache = "...... "yes to determine whether to cache sub-channels. The answer is only" yes "or" no"
