What is bitlocker?
BitLocker Drive Encryption is a new data protection feature in Windows Vista. It is mainly used to solve a growing concern: data is stolen or maliciously leaked due to physical loss of computer devices. This encrypted driver can also be used in the next-generation operating system Windows 8.1. The BitLocker utility, which is released along with Windows Server 2008, can protect important data through encrypted logical drives, and provides the system startup integrity check function.
How to disable bitlocker
1. Open the Control Panel, select "big icon", and click "BitLocker Drive Encryption ";
2. Select an encrypted partition (such as a drive D). If the partition is unlocked (a gray lock), click "disable BitLocker ";
3. Click "decrypt drive", and the decryption progress will be displayed until the decryption is completed and exited.
4. If it is locked (golden lock), unlock it first and click "unlock drive ";
5. Enter the unlock password and click "unlock ";
6. If the password is forgotten, click "I forgot the password" and "Type A Recovery Key". Then, find the BitLocker recovery key text file saved during encryption settings, open copy and paste BitLocker recovery key.
7. After unlocking, you can click "Manage BitLocker" to change the password or unlock the partition. You can also return to the upper menu to decrypt the partition.
