Serial port Java code has been developed, but can not always be in the production site debugging procedures, so how to simulate the serial data on their own notebook computer is becoming a top priority. Google's blessing, found two gadgets: VSPD and serial debugging assistant. The following is a brief introduction of how to combine the two small tools to debug the serial port program.

1, after installing the VSPD, first select the port number you want to virtual, click "Add Port". Generally now the notebook computer does not have the serial port, so can choose COM1 and COM2.

2, the virtual good port, the left can see the new virtual out of the COM1 and COM2, at this time two ports should not be occupied, in a deactivated state.

3, open the Serial debugging assistant, set the COM1 baud rate, parity bit, data bits, stop bits and other parameters, while ensuring that the COM2 is not occupied state. We set this up so that COM1 is responsible for sending the data, COM2 is responsible for receiving the data. If the COM2 is also occupied, then your program will not be able to use this port.

4, in the picture of the Chinese box to fill in the data you want to simulate, and then click "Automatic Send", you should see the progress bar moving forward, and vspd COM1 sent data growing, indicating that the serial debugging assistant is constantly sending data through the COM1.

5, open the program you want to debug, in your program set a good baud rate and other parameters, you can see the simulation results. At this point, you can see that the COM2 in VSPD is occupied by Java, and received data is growing.
